Dr. Alexis Pennings

Dr. Pennings grew up on a farm in southwest Virginia (Abingdon) raising sheep and horses. She then went on to complete her undergraduate degree at Mary Washington University and her veterinary degree at Virginia Tech in 2008.

Dr. Pennings has performed veterinary work in various states (and a few other countries, too!), but has called North Carolina home since 2020. Her professional interests include surgery, dentistry, exotic pets, and end of life care.

In her free time, Dr. Pennings likes to spend time with her dog Daisy and her bearded dragon, Mango. She enjoys woodworking, interior decorating, hiking, reading, and is an avid Formula One racing fan!

The Main Street team is thrilled to welcome Dr. Pennings to our veterinary family and look forward to introducing her to our patients and their families!
