Dr. Brier Bostrom, DVM, DACVIM
Internal Medicine Specialist
We are thrilled to announce that Main Street Veterinary now offers outpatient ultrasound services by Dr. Brier Bostrom a board-certified internal medicine specialist. Dr. Bostrom collaborates with your pet's primary veterinarian at Main Street to diagnose and manage a variety of challenging medical conditions. She offers on-site services, including internal medicine consultations and ultrasounds of the abdomen, heart, and thoracic area, to ensure thorough and efficient care for your pet.
How It Works:
Scheduling: If an ultrasound is recommend by your pet's veterinarian, we will provide an estimate and contact Dr. Bostrom for her first available appointment and time. Once a date and time are agreed upon, the ultrasound will be scheduled.
Day Of Ultrasound:
Your pet will be dropped off at Main Street Veterinary on the scheduled day and time, ensuring a familiar and comfortable environment for both you and your pet.
To prepare for the ultrasound, your pet will need to be fasted for at least 12 hours beforehand.
A technician or assistant will check your pet in and address any questions you may have.
Dr. Bostrom will perform the ultrasound and provide a detailed report to your pet's veterinarian.
Results & Pick-Up
Your veterinarian will contact you to discuss the ultrasound results and arrange a pick-up time.
If a needle biopsy is performed, results typically take 7-10 days, and your veterinarian will call you with the findings.
